Major Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Responsible for leading, planning, organizing and directing all daily activities for the Production Technicians.
- Assigning production tasks to employees based on their skill sets and the production requirements of the product; Cross-training matrix
- Track/meet productivity goals; track/meet yield goals; track/meet WIP goals
- Recommend and implement productivity and yield improvements
- Line balancing
- Issue LHRs to the manufacturing floor for final assembly production
- Based on Finished Goods / Clinical build plan, create Sub-Assembly build plans; issue LHRs to the manufacturing floor for Sub-Assembly production
- Consolidate other build requests such as R&D or other Engineering builds; schedule according to priorities
- Allocate and kit components for builds
- Open and close Work Orders in ERP, including allocations, insuring accuracy to Material Transfer Forms
- Review in-process LHRs for completeness and accuracy; resolve issues with Quality
- Replenish raw material inventory; notify Purchasing of ordering requirements
- Perform cycle counting and physical inventory counts; reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain work area cleanliness and compliance with various safety, fire, and hazmat guidelines
- Execute work in a manner compliant with FDA and ISO guidelines for medical device development and manufacture
- Maintain compliance with all document and procedure training requirements
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of education or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing (production planning / scheduling) in the medical device industry
- Minimum 2 years of experience with ERP system transactions preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in personnel production line coordination (direct supervisory experience and equipment maintenance a plus)
- Ability to follow established written procedures with minimum supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to lift / carry up to 25 lbs.
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Some hands on capability of machine calibration and troubleshooting preferred
Education Requirements
- AA/AS degree in technology field or equivalent
- BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or Technology preferred
This position is based in Milpitas, CA and is an onsite position. The salary range of $110K – $125K based on factors including experience, skills, etc.
